I just downloaded AS version 2.0 DEMO and have it running on a Win2K machine using a UNIX Style WebServer in local mode (intranet). Everything works great except when trying to initiate a Chat from within IE 6.0 all I get is a blank chat window (gray java box with white border). The AS WINDOWS Client tells me I have a visitor wishing to chat, and I can see him in the Client's status display, but nothing will appear in the Java chat window when I send stuff from the Client, and obviously I am not able to send nothing back from the Java chat window either. If I close the Java chat window, the Client gets a message that the visitor has left, and if I reinitiate the Java chat window (by clicking on the webpage link), I will see that the visitor has returned on my Client status display (I also get the system tray pop up alert flag reflecting the status as well). I have tried both the CGI and PHP versions with the exact same results. I like the software but am hesitant to buy it until I have an explanation as to why the chat feature is crippled. Any suggestions?
I am using the latest versions of: Key Focus Web Server, ActivePerl, and PHP

Are you trying to chat with yourself? That may cause an issue if you are behind a router. Are you?

Yes! That is the problem... I am behind a router, and I am testing it by chatting with myself. When I publish the site I will try it again to see if it works.

Thanks for the feedback.
