Jafo,

Please help me. I sent an email to everyone with an email address on my messenger 6 Email system. I have just found out to my horror that all the mail in box are being filled with the same email until the size limit is reached and then I am getting all of them bounced back. This is so embarassing. Can I easily clear or reset their email boxes?

Please help.

Thank you

Im not sure how you could have done this?

Anyway, there is no way to wipe out the mail from the admin section other than deleting their accounts.

I am getting zillions of my own emails back - seems like there is a perpetual loop here. All I did was send an email to everyone using bcc.

I really dont want to delete everyones account and the emails keep flooding in.

If you are running cron jobs, disable it. See if you then get an error of some kind displayed to the screen.

Hi Jafo,

I have disabled Cron Job. I am getting no errors other than zillions of bounced emails saying account suspended due to inactivity. Also I am getting thousnds of blank emails in each of the inbox acccount until they are full up.

There are no other errors.

This happened when I send a bulk email to all members.

I am not sure what to do now. Please can you suggest something?

I am struggling to even delete an account or clear the inbox - takes about 10 minutes to do each operation.

Is there a way I can deletee this email which seems to be running in the background which created all these problems? Can I easily clear peoples inbox?

Thank you

Dear Jafo,

Is there a simple way I can clear the inbox?

I have about 100 email addresses, each with about 1500+ emails each. How can I clear all of these. If I try and delete them, system seems to time out.

Thanks

You could delete the mail and mail index table in MySQl and then rebuild them in the admin control panel.

I would recommend you empty your catch-all box with a mail program like outlook express also.

Let me know if you can duplicate this, and I will try to do it on my test server.

Hi Jafo,

I have decided to delete each email from each user manually. It is a pain but I dont see any other way of doing it. I am half through and it has taken me 3 days.

Cheers
