two month ago i have tested that my company server can support the this messenger 6. And we have bought it last week and ask me to upload and run it.

i follow the the instrustion in the Readme file. (is there any other help file)
But the problem now is that i can send out the mail but can't receive. the mail is all gone to the default email in the server. :(

i have check the error stated in the data.cgi, it stated that
Popserver is not responding: Invalid argument and Net::POP3: Bad hostname ''
i have do the setting for the popserver, popuser and poppass.

am i miss out something?

should i also set the SMTP?

What did you enter for the hostname of the POP server? This is the entry in the change settings section called: popserver.

i set popserver. Previously i set to my server ip, but still can't work.
is it i am enter the wrong thing?? :confused:

If you entered: "o mail.muar.com" then yes, that is incorrect, it should be: "mail.muar.com".

sorry for miss typing, the popserver i actually is set to mail.muar.com.

Did you also enter the correct information for the popuser and poppass options?

yes, i do, i have test it with the outlook express. the outlook can receive the the mail. so wat wrong is it?

Delete your data.cgi file, and then try to check mail again (make sure cron is not on until this is all fixed). See if the error message is the same.

i have delete the data.cgi, then try to send a mail, still can't receive. the data.cgi is not generated after i delete the old one. The temp folder i already set to chmod777.

If there is no data.cgi then the messenger is getting a report that the POP box is empty, meaning either the catch-all has no email in it, or the POP information you entered in the setings is incorrect.

Make sure no other mail program is accessing the catch-all.

for wat i know, my server got three web mail, there are squirrel mail, horde mail and neo mail. Is this will effect the catch-all??

now , i understand wat is catch-all, but i didn't see any option for catch-all in my server. so i dunno how to clear the catch-all. maybe later need to contact my server web admin to check out.

there is one thing in the change_setting called 127.0.0.1, i have set to my server ip and 127.0.0.1.

You do not have to worry about the 127.0.0.1 setting unless you eventually setup blacklisting.

Your admin should be able to direct to you how to setup a catch-all. Every server has this option.
