Hi all,

I downloaded the trial to see if it would work before I purchase it and it doesn't do anything at all. I run another script on my pages and people are there. But Activestats 2 doesn't show them. What am I doing wrong?

This is what I have on the pages:

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE=javascript>var mode = "cgi"; var theURL = "http://www.modeling-connection.com/cgi-bin/active/";
var nonCGI = "http://www.modeling-connection.com/active/"; </script>
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE=javascript src="http://www.modeling-connection.com/active/as2.js"></script>

active is the name I gave the directory. I have the password right. I don't know about the username because I couldn't find anywhere in the script that asks for it.

These are my settings:

path to activestats cgi/php
http://www.modeling-connection.com/cgi-bin/active/

path to activestats non-cgi
http://www.modeling-connection.com/active/

Please help.

Do you have a page where the AS code is pasted into?

You have it pasted in there multiple times, it should only be there once.

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE=javascript>var mode = "cgi"; var theURL = "http://www.modeling-connection.com/cgi-bin/active/";
var nonCGI = "http://www.modeling-connection.com/active/"; </script>
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE=javascript src="http://www.modeling-connection.com/active/as2.js"></script>
<img src="http://www.modeling-connection.com/cgi-bin/quickcountpro.cgi?id= The Modeling Connection " width="1" height="1" border="0">
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE=javascript>var mode = "cgi"; var theURL = "http://www.modeling-connection.com/cgi-bin/active/";
var nonCGI = "http://www.modeling-connection.com/active/"; </script>
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE=javascript src="http://www.modeling-connection.com/active/as2.js"></script>

I posted is several times by mistake yesterday adding a new script. It didn't work before I made that mistake and I just fixed it and it is still not working. Does active stats have a certian port it uses? I am on a router and I thought that maybe that was the problem.

So what do I do now?

Also, did you upload EVERYTHING in that folder binary? Including the contents of the js folder?

Kris1431

OK. It is on ALL of my pages. But here is one that should load fairly quick.

http://www.modeling-connection.com/studio/

Also. You mentioned a JS folder? All I have in my active directory is 6 files. No folder.

as2$1.class
as2$2.class
as2.class
as2.js
asapplet.class
index.htm

Also I get an error at the bottom. Says "Applet asapplet notined"
What does that mean?

That usually means that you have uploaded the files in the wrong format. DO NOT USE AUTO! They MUST be uploaded in Binary mode..

I just re-uploaded them again in BINARY.

I still get the same error and Activestats is still not working.

Would you like me to PM you my FTP login and you can take a look?

OK. I just sent it to you. I hope you can get it working. Also one more question. I purchased your WW Messenger about a year ago. Does that include updates? Or do I have to purchase your updated version?

Thanx,
Kris

Reuploaded the class files in binary mode, and all appears to be working now...

I created a test page with no images for easier testing:

http://www.modeling-connection.com/testas.html

The Messenger has not been updated in the last year.

BTW, I was born in Oneida county, and graduated High School there too. :)

It is working now. THANK YOU!

I have an older version of your mail script. I thought it was called WW Messenger. It is not the same version that you have up now.
