View Full Version : mail not getting to individual mailbox
ccunet 06-15-2004, 10:22 AM emails are not getting through to individual mailboxes. There are a bunch of them in my messenger temp dir but they aren't being picked up and routed to the individual email inboxes.
ALso when I turn on the rich text editor I don't get the toolbar.
I'm sure I'm missing something here but not sure what.
Appreciate any help.

Make sure your catch-all is not corrupt by emptying it with an email program such as outlook express.
As for your toolbar issue, I would need to see it in action to see what is wrong.

I did that but it still doesn't go to mailbox! There are still files in the messenger temp directory.
BTW why would the catch all be getting corrupted? It was all working fine before.

What does your data.cgi file say?

Yes, delete it, and then see if it is created when the messenger checks mail, either via cron or user initiated (depends on your setup).

I deleted it but ity was not recreated and still no incoming mail.
What is a next step? Would it help if setup an account for you to look at?

If it is not being created, that means the Messenger thinks the catch-all is empty.

Got it solved it. I reset my catchall options and it works now thanks.

Can you explain what you mean by resetting it? Was it a server side issue? I am just asking in case this pops up again for you or someone else.
If it was server side, could you tell us what type of server your using, control panel, etc?

I deleted then re-established my catchall email with new password etc and now it works.
Don't know why but it fixed it.

webmistress 06-22-2004, 05:23 PM I tried to clean my catch-all out due to mail not checking with messenger and not going to the user accounts. Ill-formated e-mails did this. With Outlook for some reason mail was staying on the server, so I had one of my server administrators delete all mail via telnet.
