I downloaded this free tool from vbulletin.org.
I believe I installed it correctly.
I am getting this error:

Can you please offer a suggestion?

Sounds like the POP information you entered is incorrect, or you have like 10 GB of mail in that mail box.

Hmm, OK, I'll try again. It must be the settings because it's a brand new gmail account, so I know there is nothing in it.

What do I put in for POP Server Username, MyMail@gmail.com or MyMail?

I just tried it with both MyMail@gmail.com or MyMail and neither work. I get this error if I put MyMail@gmail.com

I also tried with port 110 and 995. Google says 995, that's why I tried that one.

As I recall, gmail doesn't allow POP access do they?

Actually they started supporting them a short time ago.
I guess I had Google on the brain and thought I needed a gmail account.
I tried it with another new account and it worked fine.
