Hope someone can help me, I am now about a week into this and nothing is making sense.

I paid for the component, first instruction was to wait for it. That took a couple of days :banghead:
Next they send me a "text" file and tell me to rename it to a zip file. I do this.
Lastly Upload through Mambo- Done that many at times but yet it still doesnt install.
I have done this on many different computers and yet I get error messages no matter what machine I do it on. Here are the messages I have received:
Unrecoverable error "PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10)"
Heres a different one I got
No XML file

Someone please help, Im would assume this should be a lot easier than I think it is at the moment.

Here is the latest one
Warning: mkdir(/home/httpd/vhosts/vgamenews.com/httpdocs/mambo/components/com_gamereview/images/boxart): No such file or directory in /home/httpd/vhosts/vgamenews.com/httpdocs/mambo/administrator/components/com_installer/ftp.installer.class.php on line 228
Upload component - Failed
Failed to create directory "/home/httpd/vhosts/vgamenews.com/httpdocs/mambo/components/com_gamereview/images/boxart"

Remember this is one different computers but all have the same thing -they all fail!!!

Thanks

Have you ever succesfully installed any component on your system? This sounds like a safemode violation.

Make sure no directories were created during a previous install attempt. FTP into your server and check the components and administrator/components folders do not contain folders called com_gamereview. If they do, then delete them and re-install.

I did as you said Jafo, and your right it did leave from a previous install, but why is it having a problem with the file its trying to install? This is not making any sense??

Well since no one is paying attention now - I paid for a product that isnt working with no support apparently. Heck its been so long I deleted the program and never used it. Is there anything anyone, within WWC, can help me?? Heck this last response was quite awhile ago yet I see Jafo answered someone else today and ignored mine. Would someone please respond??....
