:banghead: for some reason the wwim script isnt creating the db tables when we run the script, Can someone explain why this is not?

Can you post what command you are using to create tables and what the wwim returns when you do run this command?

we had our tech people get the tables installed and also have the crons running, messenger is running on port 2002.

problem we are having now is that it will not login. can login to the email part fine, but when i try to login to the im client it just keeps trying to login but never does. admin people asure me that its listening on port 2002 in the client creator I have the server IP and port 2002, not sure why it will not let me login at this time. I let it try for 15 min, never does :(

I have a Nat firewall in my dlink router, but i run every messenger out there and never had problems before with them, also i have had others try and all get the same results, they dont have firewalls

i left everything as default except for the tcp page,

IM Server Address is my domain name without www.
IM Server Port is 2002
Member Page URL is the url to our members.cgi file where they would go to login to the webmail

What did you put for the IM server address exactly?

i have tried the ip of the domain, i tried the domain itself, also the domain with www.

all 3 do not work

Ok, I show the wwim server is running on that port. My guess is your client is behind a firewall and cannot be reached unless you either disable the firewall, or set a rule to allow it to connect.

Ok here is what i have tried
removed my router and had direct connection from my pc to my modem, have no firewalls enabled on my pc, not even windows firewall, no other security software on my pc, absolutely nothing that could block it from working.

still just keeps saying

Signing in......

and never stops

So i know its not my pc, i had my IT techs check the server

they said this:

The firewall is the only thing that can be blocking that, and since I disabled all the firewalls, it cannot be anything wrong on your server.

Please contact the developers of the software to pinpoint where the problem is and let us know what is needed to be done.

How do you know it is not your PC? Do you have the Windows firewall running?

I work for Comcast, I do internet troubleshooting 40 hours a week over the phone. I KNOW its not my pc, i have already eliminated that as the problem, I have no firewalls enabled as SOFTWARE on my pc, I dont use the windows firewall, i even triple checked everything, even disabled my virus scanner to try. Still does not connect.

been days no reply, i paid for this product and i expect it to work or i want my money back, My IT guys run thousands of servers, i have told you what i got got settings in the client, i know its not my pc blocking the server. So what can it be? Please help
