JaFo,
no I'm using write one.
but I have a question..

I put a check mark Log into AIM
and type my username and password

sametime I type my IM user name and password
then click Logon button. ( there is only one Logon button)

I loggedin, after that I receive a message incorrect user name or password.

then another message pop up my im server is down.
(when I logging to IM server is working fine)

Is the IM server down? If so, you should find the error in the nohup.out file.

The I can only conclude you are using the wrong AIM password, or perhaps the AIM server is down.

Also, I hope you did not edit the AIM server in the client creator, that should remain what it is by default.

Hi the aim service for WWIM3 uses the TOC servers which are not always up.

If you can not log in it may be for that reason, I'm going to try to log in on aim right now and see if it's working, brb

toc.oscar.aol.com:9898 is no longer working.

My guess is they shut down their official 3rd party service for good.

I'll have to look into it further, but I believe I'm going to have to hack it like trillion and the others do to get it working on the next WWIM4 version.

We did everything we could to work with AOL within the guidelines of their 3rd party TOC interface to the chat service, but as you can see, they just barfed on our shoes by shutting it down time after time.

If they don't bring it back up, aim service will be defered to the next wwim udgrade.

yes, there will be aim like chatrooms in the newer messenger. Right now I have stopped working on it to update my own Beer Co email script, once that is complete I will continue working on it.

Did AIM get resolved? If not do we have an ETA for version 4. Thanks for your help. Great program...
