Hi.

Just bought the List Manager. Installation seemed easy and I'm not getting any error messages.

However, it is not sending any mail whatsoever. I'm hosting with IPowerWeb.

I have the paths to perl and sendmail entered correctly as follows:

/usr/sbin/sendmail
/usr/bin/perl

I noticed one thing that was a little odd that might help you diagnose the problem. In the configuration, although I entered the correct paths to list.cgi and upload.cgi, next time I visit the configuration, I have to reenter them (blanks show).

I really need to get this working ... Any immediate assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Are you SURE that is the correct path to Sendmail? I went to the IPowerWeb website and searched their help section and did not see any mention of the Sendmail path?

I am 100% absitivly sure the paths are correct.

Note, I did just receive some of the mail sent out 2 hours ago. There could be a lag time ...

Also, I noted the body of the message, although written in html, is being displayed as text. The footer too!

Is there a way to insure the message is displayed properly in html (body and text).

Thanks for your quick responses.

Ok, sounds like a bottleneck somewhere on your server. Those are normal and come and go.

If you want to send an HTML email, attach the message as an HTML document.

I don't mind attaching an html doc, but the unsubscribe notice in the footer does not display properly ... Isn't there something you could do to insure that the footer displays html properly?

Jafo:

You advertised "The List Manager allows you to send plain text or HTML enhanced messages. You can even have file attachments in your mass mailings."

I bought the list manager because you advertised that it was capable of handeling "HTML OR PLAIN TEXT." Nothing was mentioned about attaching an HTML file!

I can live with attaching an html file, but the unsubscribe footers are unacceptable.

For $35.95 I would expect that the footers would handle HTML properly, but they do not.

If you cannot provide a solution, I would like a refund.

Thanks again.

When you attach an html file, it displays to the user as an HTML email. I have personally tested it with Outlook, Eudora, Thunderbird and AOL mail clients with no issue whatsoever.

You're right! When you attach a html file to the initial email message, the footer correctly displays HTML coding.

However, the HTML implementation throughout the program is buggy. For example, if you unsubscribe, then click on resubscribe, the footer in the email to resubscribe again shows the HTML link as text.

You really need to go through this script to implement HTML properly.

Do you plan to fix these bugs soon? If not, I would still prefer a refund.

Thanks.
