hey there

just started the long arduous task of converting & integrating my mostly text/html based site into mambo.... http://www.ukhh.com is the current version

i was poking around for a good reviews component for mambo and stumbled across your games review component

we've currently got 2000+ reviews of music categorised by format, each one a single page of html, obviously this is crying out for some sort of linking, integrating, management etc.

would it be obvious were i to purchase your component how i could hack it away from the games review into something more customizable for me - i would need artist name, record name, label, year of release, catalogue number etc. as well as an actual review, related links etc etc.

are there any options on display formats? it would be nice to have a front page to the reviews section displaying the last n reviews for each section and then each section would have all of the reviews displayed in that section, sorted by artist

also it would be really nice if you could display all music (games) by label (genre/developer/publisher/whatever). is this possible? with one example on your demo server i can't really get an idea of what could be possible

i know the money's not a great deal but i don't want to buy something i won't ever use

fyi i'm a total novice at mambo but can just about find my way around php/mysql/html etc.

thanks in advance anyone...

Well, you would probably have to hack the HTML a bit to display things the way you are talking about, but that would not be too hard I would imagine. The hardest thing I see in your post is the sorting, which would require additional code, and for the frontpage, you would have to write a module to do this, a component cannot do that.
